Comment: Could you please help, i am looking for a birth or baptism of James King, in the 1841 census for Sedgley Staffs, he is aged 15yrs and living with a Thomas King aged 35yrs, i take this too be his father, the census says he is a brickmaker. The 1861 census for Sedgley says James was born in Birchley Buckingham, i know a place called Birchley does not exist in Bucks, but Bletchley was not always spelt as it is today, could the enumerator have mistataken the pronuciation, and wrote what he thought heard and written it has Birchley. I have tried to find any information for James in the normal records without success, could you perhaps help, with access to church records Ken Green

Comment: I am researching my Hedges family. My great great grandfather is James Hedges born around 1806 in Colnbrook or Horton Buckinghamshire. He married a Jane Burgess in 1839 which I have the marriage certificate, and it shows his father's name was John but unfortunately I cannot find his mothers name or whether he had any siblings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Comment: I am researching the Griffin family of Thornborough,Bucks. and also Thornton, Bucks. between 1744 and 1890. I have managed to trace a substantial amount of information which has been verified through the records office at Aylesbury and other family history connections. The specific area I am interested in is tracing the any details of Charles Griffin born 1744 in Passenham, Northants. who married Esther Ashby in Thornton, Bucks. in 1770. Any information received with gratefull thanks.
