Comment: Greetings from NYC, I'm currently researching my 8th great grandfather, Abraham Collett, potentially born 22 December 1690 in Ivinghoe, Buckinghamshire. I'm looking forward to joining the society, sending for records copies, and eventually visiting. Any Colletts are welcome to contact me. PCG

Comment: Could you please help, i am looking for a birth or baptism of James King, in the 1841 census for Sedgley Staffs, he is aged 15yrs and living with a Thomas King aged 35yrs, i take this too be his father, the census says he is a brickmaker. The 1861 census for Sedgley says James was born in Birchley Buckingham, i know a place called Birchley does not exist in Bucks, but Bletchley was not always spelt as it is today, could the enumerator have mistataken the pronuciation, and wrote what he thought heard and written it has Birchley. I have tried to find any information for James in the normal records without success, could you perhaps help, with access to church records Ken Green
